Upgrading your existing door lock to an electronic lock can be as simple as replacing your deadbolt. Here are some simple steps to follow:
Select an electronic deadbolt from the same manufacturer as your existing keyed knob, lever, or handleset, so that the cylinders can use the same key.
Find an electronic deadbolt lock that matches your current door hardware décor.
Many electronic deadbolts only require the use of a screwdriver to complete the upgrade.

Select electronic door locks feature compatibility with home automation sytems. Home intelligence systems allow you to control many items in your home remotely. Connecting your electronic door lock to one of these systems grants you complete control and visibility over what goes on at your home, even when you're not there. We offer a selection of Schlage locks which can be connected to the world renowned Nexia Home Intelligence systems. A small monthly fee is required for connection to Nexia's home automation system. Schlage locks operate as a keypad lock regardless of whether they are connected to a Nexia system or not.

Are codes lost after changing the batteries? The codes are stored even when batteries are not present.

How many codes can be programmed? Each lock is different. Code capacity varies for residential electronic door locks from two codes, up to as many as 40.
Will the key work if the code is forgotten? Yes, the key will always work, even if the code is forgotten.
