Do I need bearing hinges for a solid wood 7-foot door, or can I get away with using 3 heavy duty hinges?

A. I would consider using four hinges, instead of three.The material and thickness of the hinge is also critical. If not ball bearing hinges, I would use 4-1/2" solid brass hinges.
