We're looking to have it keyed on one side. Would this one work?

Does this lock use the "smartkey" technology, so that we the customer can re-key the lock ourselves?

A. Thank you for your question. The Kwikset 740ADL is not Smart-Key equipped. The Smart-Key version is the 740ADL-S.

I have 2 1/4" thick doors, Do you offer any option for this door thickness?

A. We're sorry but, The Kwikset 740ADL is not compatible with doors of that thickness. We do however carry many door handles that would work with doors 2 1/4" thick, although they wouldn't look exactly like this product.

How would I make this product work for a set of double French doors that lead outside?

A. Thank you for your question. To make the Kwikset 740ADL work for double doors leading outside, you will need to order a dummy handleset to go with it. The dummy handleset is 788ADL.
