The detailed styling of the Arlington is a welcome enhancement to your entry doors. Grade 1 deadbolt security features. The latchbolt is operated by the thumbpiece outside and grip inside, while the deadbolt is operated by a key outside or thumbturn inside.

"I purchased this handleset to match the style of the Kwikset SmartCode/SmartKey Touchpad. Unfortunately the holes on my front door were drilled too close together for the handleset to fit (not my fault, stupid builder). Rather than replace the door and some of the frame, I figured I would try for a different style handleset. Believe me, the 5.5 inches center-to-center is a MUST. I wish I had known this before I ordered so I could've avoided the restocking/return fee. I gave four stars because the flat piece above the thumb lever really doesn't need to be that tall."

"I AM VERY SAD I WAS NOT ABLE TO INSTALL YOUR PRODUCT, BUT THE HANDEL THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE IS SMALLER AND THE HOLES DID NOT MATCH, SINCE THAT SIZE IS NOT AVAILABLE ANY MORE, I HAD TO CALL SOMEONE TO FIX IT INSTEAD OF REPLACE IT LIKE I WAS PLANNING TO DO. "I had an existing Arlington handleset and was getting a new door so I thought I would get new handles. My old set was about 8 years old.
Kwikset has really cheapened the quality of it's product. Fit and finish not as nice. No screws holding it together. Snap locks that seem poorly built.
I should have kept my old stuff and tried to polish it up."

A. It is possible to have the Kwikset 800AN-LIP fit a 2 1/4" door, but you would require the extension pack. Please contact Kwikset directly at 1-800-327-LOCK.

Am replacing exterior door lock on left with dummy on right, interior hardware is OK. Would also like to use existing key on new hardware. What do I need to buy?
A. You can buy the Kwikset 800AN-LIP Signature Series Arlington Single Cylinder Keyed Entry Handleset, the Kwikset 802AN-LIP Signature Series Arlington Dummy Handleset and just not purchase the interior pack. You will need to verify that your existing interior hardware is compatible with this handleset. You will need to know your key code to match it to your existing hardware. You can take your key to a locksmith and have them determine your key code for you.

On the arlington handleset, why is there no cap for the exposed screw on the bottom of the door handle?
A. The Kwikset 800AN-LIP doesn't come with one. They only provide the caps for the interior side of this handle set.

Do you have to order this in either right hand or left hand to have the dead bolt on the correct side? Another manufacturer says if you face the door from the outside, we need to order a left hand model. Your price is cheaper so I would rather go with you, but I need to be sure the order would be correct.
A. For the Kwikset 800AN-LIP You will need to order a left hand model if you face the door from the outside and your hinges are on the left. You also need to know if the latch-type face plate is square, round, or drive in.

Can I get a Lido lever instead of the 966 Abbey for the interior handle? The 966 is the only option that I see.
A. The 966 indicates it is a interior pack. The letters after the 966 determine the style. The interior pack for the Lido lever is 966LL-LH (for left handed) 966LL-RH for right handed.

Can one purchase the Kuikset 966LL-RH LIDO Right Hand Single Cylinder Interior Pack in Antique Brass by itself (that is, without purchasing any other item)?
A. Yes, you can purchase the Kwikset 966LL-RH by itself, but it won't function without a compatible handleset.

Does this handleset have smart key technology?
A. Thank you for your question. The Kwikset 800AN-LIP does not have a smartkey feature, however the 800an-lip-s is the product number for the handleset that has the smartkey feature. Have a great day!
