Interior Handle Required

The oval design of the Chelsea beautifully outfits the colonial or traditional entryway. Grade 1 deadbolt security features. The latchbolt is operated by thumbpiece outside and grip inside, while the deadbolt is locked/unlocked with the key on the outside, and the thumbturn on the inside. This handleset is equipped with the new SmartKey technology.

Bumpguard: Patented side locking bar technology replaces a traditions pin & tumbler design to protect against lock bumping.

Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door.

Drill Resistance: Cylinder uses two steel balls inserted into the front of the key face to resist attack from drilling.

Superior security - ANSI Grade-1 deadbolt rating

Smart Key Cylinders are 5-pin, and will not key alike to 6-pin cylinders.

Attractive handleset

"This handleset installed easily and the quality of the lifetime polished brass exterior is excellent. My only disappointment was with the quality of the materials used on the interior parts. These are a lighter weight brass and don't look or feel as substantial as the exterior. I ordered lifetime polished brass keyed entry knobs for two other doors at the same time and found the materials to be the same - excellent exterior and lower quality interior."

Beautiful handleset

"This handleset looks really nice on my front door. I purchased it in venetian bronze. Works great, no problems with installation. Only thing I don't like is the lever on the inside of the deadbolt is 'up and down' or vertical when locked while all my other Kwikset deadbolts are horizontal when locked so I always have to think about whether that one's locked or not. May have been a way to change that but didn't try, didn't want to risk scratching up front door by taking it off and putting it back on again."
