"A renter broke the doorknob on this now very rare lenght of door latch. We had nearly given up and resigned ourselves to having to buy a new door, which was also an odd size. Thank goodness that we were able to find this Kwikset Latch and with a new Kwikset knob we were able to repair the door in just a few minutes."

A. A backset measurement is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of your door knob hole (also referred to as a "borehole"). If the distance from the edge of your door to the center of this hole is 5" then you will need one of these 5" Backset Deadlatches.
