"We've used these key pad deadbolts for years now and love them. The first we had lasted MANY years before having to be replaced. We recently remodeled and put a second one on another exterior door because they're just so convenient. You don't have to worry about your kids losing keys to your house and being locked out or having extra keys to your home floating around for others to find. You can change the code for a day to let in a repairman or exterminator and then change it back that night. No fumbling for keys and you never have to worry about being locked out."

"I bought my parents one of these products and loved how it worked on their front door, so, I bought myself and my daughter in law and son one for our front doors. This was just last Fall. All three of the smart codes have quit working, totally! My daughter in laws and sons quit working about March, mine quit working in May and my parents informed this morning that their's is not working now. What is up??
I think the idea of this product is good but there are obviously, bugs that need to be worked out!"

Great lock, but....

"I love this lock. I have had it for years, and it was terrific when my kids were living at home, because we didn't need to keep track of or worry about losing keys, etc. Now my grown kids and my housecleaner have their own codes, and when I change housecleaners I just change the code. Have also used for contractors, dog sitters etc. The only problem is the key pad occasionally cycles through numbers on its own. Very annoying with the beep beep beep, and quite disconcerting!
I called the company who said it should not be possible. Yeah. Well, I got tired if it, and am now buying a new one. I guess that speaks pretty well for the lock. I am convinced this is just a defect or else my door is haunted. Either way, I want the same keypad, so will try again. Weird, huh?"

"This item is now installed at my Kentucky home and also in my New York home. They are very good quality and I had no trouble installing them in our entry doors. The batteries last at least a year, and are easy to replace when needed. If you want or need a keyless entry lock I highly reccommend these. Oh, you also get a key to use in case you need to du to battery failure or emergencies."

"I have used this Kwikset touch pad in all of the homes I have lived in. When I moved into my last home, I thought I would try one of the finger scanners. It did not work well at all. I could get it to work occasionally but my kids and wife could never get it to work. It actually quit working and finally, I set it back to the vendor and installed the Quikset touch pad. The Quikset pad has never failed me. I think this is the best device anyone with kids could ever have."
