Product Details for the Kwikset 980S

The Kwikset Signature Series single cylinder deadbolt features a 6-pin cylinder with pick resistant pins, an Ultra-strike door jamb brace, and a 1" brass throw deadbolt with a Titanium alloy core. The Kwikset 980 deadbolt is BHMA/ANSI Grade 1 certified - the highest level of residential security.

"We have not had any problems. seems to be good quality. I like that Handleset was able to make all 5 entry door handles and deadbolts use the same key. Easy to order from them and customer service was great. I called in to order and the person helping me was extremely helpful. She even called me back the next day with an answer to my question."

How do you remove this from the door?

A. You should be able to remove it by unscrewing the dead bolt from the inside of the door. Once the inside piece is removed the rest of the dead bolt should be easy to remove. For more detailed instructions, it may be best to contact Kwikset directly.
