I am interested in buying the Weslock 672 double cylinder, however, I just want to make sure that the keys are on both sides (exterior and interior) and that the interior side does not have a thumbnail latch to turn?:
A. A Double Cylinder Deadbolt does not have a thumbturn on the interior. A double cylinder deadbolt is unlocked by a key from the exterior as well as a key from the interior. The reason this may be preferred is because burglars routinely break the glass and then reach inside to operate the thumbturn on a single cylinder deadbolt. The interior keyway prevents an intruder from accessing your home by breaking the glass and turning the thumb turn to open the door.
